Dear Family and Friends,
Announcements: Thank you mom for your great e-mail! Sounds like your church meeting was very similar to mine. I'll include that in my letter. And if you see President Neider again, please tell him I said hello as well. I also recieved the two letters from dad and those are also much appreciated! It was pretty crazy to note that the joke you sent me in blue was one that I heard from Ms. D. So that was quite the inspired joke!
So this week was pretty slow. Thats pretty much all I want to say about that. But Stake Conference was fantastic! We also had a 70 come to our stake conference. Elder Risenmay. President Larkin was also there, President Pew - the temple president, and Stake President Nichols. It was crazy, it kind of seemed like General Conference. The Stake Chior was pretty good too, although there were some that sang a little too loud and out of tune. Many times they reached Mormon Tabernacle Chior level. There was a recent convert who spoke. He was baptized in Hylebos about a year or two ago. I had the priviledge of being on exchange there to teach him a new member lesson. He is going on a mission soon. He will be so great. I think his talk might of been my favorite. Afterward I came and gave him a hug and he cried pretty hard. I think it was probably my face... anyway. President Larkin also spoke about Zion arising in her beauty and glory and putting on her beautiful garments. Elder Risenmay Spoke about supporting two missionary companionships in each ward. We are pretty excited.
We 700 baptisms year to date yesterday. We have an ultimate goal of 1038 baptisms this year and I have some faith that we can still can still do it. I need to be more obedient if we're going to baptize in dash point. So please pray for that as well. Elder Palmer and I are trying to set some goals but we're at a loss of what to do sometimes. This week has been pretty lonely. We are kind of loosing Ms. D. We are loosing our other investigator on date and are having meanial success in finding. General Authorities have said that 2/3 of the world is ready to hear and accept the restored gospel. But without exact obedience, missionaries will only find the 1/3 of everyone else. And so it has been. But we will repent.
Hopefully next week will be better. Speaking of which - I probably will not e-mail this next monday. It will be on tuesday due to transfers. and I am pretty sure you can count on me getting transferred.
Love,
